We've sat on your side of the table.
Alves Rowe is a preconstruction consultancy built on firsthand main-contractor experience. We know the pressures your team is under, because we've been under them too.
Preconstruction lives or dies on clarity. We bring coordination and cost certainty to complex projects, from feasibility through to construction.
- —Clarity. Scope, assumptions and allowances documented so everyone prices the same job.
- —Coordination. Design and procurement aligned early, before they turn into cost.
- —Cost certainty. A single, trusted view of budget that holds from feasibility to site.
- —Partnership. We work as an extension of your team, not a box-ticking supplier.

From the tools to the tender.
Jamie Rowe, director of Alves Rowe, started as a carpenter in 2012 and came up through property and construction management before moving into preconstruction. That route is why our packages read the way they do: put together by people who understand how the work actually gets built, not just how it looks on a drawing.
I spent six years on the tools before I ever priced a job. It changes how you read a drawing. You see what is actually going to happen on site, not just what is on the page.Jamie Rowe, Director
- —Every job goes through Jamie. He takes the brief, sets the approach and checks the work before it comes back to you.
- —Support behind the scenes. Admin, document control and coordination are handled separately, so the technical work is never held up by paperwork.
- —Buildability flagged at tender. Where a detail cannot be built the way it is drawn, you hear about it while there is still time to price it, not when it reaches site.

A civil engineer's eye on every drawing.
Aline Alves is a civil engineer (MEng) who supports preconstruction and estimating at Alves Rowe. She began in structural analysis and design in Brazil, then moved into technical coordination and construction administration on UK projects, and now quality controls the take-offs, cost plans and tender packs that London fit-out contractors price from.
- —An engineering background. Structural analysis and design, then design coordination on UK sites, so the technical detail is read properly.
- —Take-offs and cost plans. Checked against the drawings before they go out, so the quantities and plans hold up when they are priced.
- —Tender packs. Checked for completeness, so every subcontractor prices the same thing.
